Requirements:
- Minimum Spanish Level: High-Intermediate (if zero, add 14-16 weeks of regular Spanish before course)
Program (included in tuition):
- 2 hrs/day (10 hrs/week) group Spanish classes (max 10)
- 2 hrs/day (10 hrs/wk) specialized Diplomatic terminology classes
- 5 hrs/week Spanish culture training
- Shared room with host family
- Breakfast and dinner daily
- Laundry service
- 2-3 organized activities per week
- Emergency message service
Possible Options (extra cost):
- Airport pick-up in Barcelona
- Apartment (no meals) or Dorm (2 meals/day) instead of host family
- Private room upgrade

This beautiful city on the Mediterranean coast of Spain is an excellent place for political professionals and students studying international politics to learn the Spanish language with an emphasis on diplomatic vocabulary and common expressions. The program can be customized to fit your specific professional and is offered as a two or four week couse. We recommend that participants have a mid-intermediate level of Spanish proficiency to benefit the most from this program.

Barcelona, a city of 2 million, is literally bursting with art and culture. The colorful and intricate architecture created by the world famous Gaudi, the Gothic Neighborhood, and the pedestrian street “Las Ramblas” make this city a traveler and art lover’s paradise. Known as Spain’s second capital and host of the 1992 summer Olympics, Barcelona is a modern metropolis and cultural mecca. Located on the Mediterranean coast with mountains rising up behind it, Barcelona is the gateway from Spain to the rest of Europe. Both beach and ski resorts are within easy access.
From its dazzling beaches to its ancient castles, Spain is a country as diverse as the cultures which have influenced its art, architecture, music and lifestyle. It is a land where cathedrals and castles are interspersed with skyscrapers, where modern rock mixes with flamenco guitar, and night clubs compete with cozy "tapas" bars. Spain offers some of the world's most famous museums, resorts, and festivals, making it a unique and enchanting destination.
Participants: Mostly form Europe, US and Japan. Wide age range.
Other: Newly renovated building with 54 classrooms, various terraces, cafeteria, 25 computers for students to use, library and video room. The building is wheelchair accessible and equipped with air-conditioning.
The school is very centrally located; close to the University (Universitat), only a 10 minute walk from the Plaza de Catalunya. It is 25 minute bus ride to a swimming beach, and 1.5 hours to the ski slope La Molina. Capacity is 500 students/day.

- Airport pickup (Barcelona): $100 , 2 or more $70/each
- Extra nights: $60/night for homestay (max 3) or $75/night apartment (max 3) or $60/night for dorm (max 3)
