The famed capital of Spain is a cosmopolitan city of unequaled culture and nightlife. With everything from world famous museums to high fashion shopping, one never runs out of things to do in Madrid. Conveniently located at a maximum of 5 hours by train or bus to any other city in Spain, its central location makes it an ideal home base for language travelers.

This program is designed for non-native Spanish teachers who wish to expand upon and update their knowledge of second language methodologies and theories. Participants will be able to increase pedagogical expertise by discussing controversial grammatical topics, addressing how to integrate culture, history and politics into lessons, and reviewing other related issues that will enrich any classroom back home.

• Lectures and workshops on Spanish culture, the education system, methodology, and more.
• Participants may choose 2 or 4 week program. Different in-depth topics are covered so no material is repeated in the 4 wk course.
• Class observation hours are included in 4 week program
• Choice of lodging in homestay, apartment, or dorm

Participants: This program is open to Spanish educators or education students planning to teach Spanish who have at least a high intermediate language level.
