Shanghai is known for is cosmopolitan atmosphere and progressive thinking. Getting to know modern China will help teachers translate the language back to students. In this 4-week program, teachers will focus on three main aspects of Mandarin. Participants will study Linguistic Theory; explore Mandarin and Culture; and have the opportunity to put their acquired knowledge to practice through an in-class seminar. Sessions will be taught by high-level experts in the field of teaching Mandarin to foreigners.

Shanghai is one of the largest industrial cities in China. Being an important seaport and China's largest commercial and financial center, it includes a blend of Chinese and colonial European architectural style; the old and the modern. It is known as the "the Oriental Paris," a shopper's paradise.
China is more than a country – it is a whole different world, from shop-till-you-drop metropolises to the epic grasslands of Inner Mongolia, with deserts, sacred peaks, astounding caves, and imperial ruins in between. Along with the stark contrasts comes stark beauty; there is plenty to see if you can wade through the crowds.
Participants: This program is recommended for Mandarin Language teachers with an advanced language level.
