Choosing this trip has been one of the best decisions I could have made. Running across AmeriSpan on the internet is something I consider to be the best of luck. The main advice I could give to future participants is to be open. There are so many interesting things you can learn if you are only open to learning.

I loved this placement-fantastic!! I did not use BETA or EMS but it was reassuring to know it existed. Pre departure info and phone interview was motivational, friendly, and I felt prepared for the classes and the project.

The best part of my trip was the family I lived with and the friends I have made. Whenever a person is to travel alone to an unknown country, they can never know what to expect. The phone interview and information given was acceptable and gave me enough confidence to go on my own and look forward to the experience ahead.

I attended the school for four weeks with a different instructor each week. Three out of four instructors were excellent. The best part was the people I met, including my host family and students travelling from other countries.

I would advise future participants to speak as much Spanish as they can while in Bolivia... and not to bring travelers checks.

Your staff was more helpful than others and AmeriSpan is cheaper than a University Study Abroad program. My program was more organized than I expected once I got in-country which was very comforting.
