Learning Spanish abroad in San Sebastian, Spain is one of many language immersion programs offered by AmeriSpan. From its dazzling beaches to its ancient castles, Spain is a country as diverse as the cultures which have influenced its art, architecture, music and lifestyle. It is a land where cathedrals and castles are interspersed with skyscrapers, where modern rock mixes with flamenco guitar, and night clubs compete with cozy "tapas" bars. Spain offers some of the world's most famous museums, resorts, and festivals, making it a unique and enchanting destination.

Northern Spain’s Pais Vasco celebrates its distinct culture, varied landscape and specialty cuisines. San Sebastian (pop. 180,000), the region’s capital, is perched on the glittering shores of Cantabrian Sea and at the base Pyrenees Mountains. It boasts tree-lined boulevards, magnificent architecture, chic restaurants, boutiques, and spectacular beaches. Despite the array of upscale dining and shopping, the city’s atmosphere is relaxed and friendly - visitors and locals mix in the hangouts throughout town. Annually hosted are two special events: a Jazz Festival that is one of the best in Europe and an International Film Festival, deemed one of the four most important in the world.
School Facilities:
The school is located in the center of San Sebastian in a brand new building with seven well-equipped classrooms and a Computer-Lounge, in Gros, a trendy and lively district, close to the Zurriola surfers' beach, 10 minutes from the old part of the town. Capacity is 56 students.
Participants:
Mainly from US, Sweden, Germany and UK. Wide age range with an average age 20-35. English is taught to locals here.
