Spanish School Facilities:
Brand new building consisting of 6-7 classrooms. Located on the marina, it is a five minute walk to the beaches of Flamingo. Walking distance to the small town of Flamingo. Homestays are a short ride away in Brasilito and Potrero. Swimming pool. Maximum capacity is 100-150 students.
What We Like:
- Maximum 4 students in group
- Private room & laundry service
- Only 1 student per family
- Possible to switch to the school's other campuses near San Jose or in the Monteverde cloud forest
- One of the best beaches in Costa Rica
- School organized activities
- Academic credit available
What We Don't Like:
- Often a 20-30 minute commute
- Limited public transportation available for local commutes
- Basic living conditions (small room, plain food, etc.)
Participants:
Mainly university students and professionals from US and Canada. Some Europeans (mostly from Germany, UK, and the Netherlands).
Accreditation Memberships:
Approved for credit through several US institutions.
Other:
Additional campuses in Monteverde (in the mountains, by the Cloudforest Reserve), and in San Joaquín de Flores ( a few minutes outside of Costa Rica's capital). Accommodations with homestays. You may sign up for the Monteverde or/and San Joaquín de Flores campus when registering. Onsite changes usually require 2 weeks notice, $50 charge, and are based on availability.
