Quito is located in a beautiful valley and is surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of the Andes. Despite its growing size, Quito has kept its colonial charm and surprisingly, has a friendlier and safer feel than other large Latin American cities. Groups will receive closed group classes, a city tour, and 2 weekday activities, as well as two weekly opportunities to volunteer with a local organization. It is easy to reach most parts of the country in less than a day from Quito, so a wealth of additional activities is available for groups. Possibilities include the Cloud Forest Reserve, Coropaxi Volcano, and the local Indian markets.

Located in a beautiful valley and surrounded by snow-capped peaks of the Andes, Quito is surprisingly friendlier and safer feeling than other large Latin American cities. Furthermore, Quito has kept its colonial charm in spite of growing to a size of 1.4 million. Situated at 9,000 feet above sea level, the temperature averages 60-70 degrees (F) during the day and 40-50 degrees during the night. It is easy to reach most parts of the country in less than a day from Quito.
With good facilities and a staff that is both friendly and professional, our Quito programs offer a good value to language students of all ages.
Ecuador was named for its position on the Equator and is bordered by Colombia, Peru and the Pacific Ocean. Not many countries as small as Ecuador have such diverse climate regions. This country has the tallest active volcano in the world, great white sand beaches, tropical rain forests, deep crevasses, colorful Indian markets and is well known for its social and political stability.
