This program is ideal for those seeking adventure while studying Spanish. The traveling classroom program in Venezuela is based out of the school’s campus in Colorada Beach and takes students to Caripe, Orinoco, through Mochima National Park and other untouched areas. While studying students will go on jeep safaris, visit The Lost World, and kayak through the jungle. Students will be introduced to the culture of the Warao and Pemon indigenous Indians and will live in the lush primary jungle and savanna terrain.

Playa Colorada, or the ‘Colored Beach,’ is one of the many that make up Mochima National Park. This small beach is located less than 10 kilometers from Santa Fe and half an hour from the city of Puerto La Cruz. Playa Colorada is one of the most photographed beaches in Venezuela and it is easy to see why. The red sandy beaches are lined with palm trees and the water is crystal clear. Standing on the sand, you can see some of the 32 islands the make up Mochima National Park.
Venezuela is located on the northern coast of South America and enjoys a tropical climate year-round attracting tourists from all over the world, but especially from Germany, Italy, Spain and North America. About half the country is forest, including rainforest. Venezuela boasts countless paradise-like islands along its nearly 1,800 miles of coastline. In addition, the country has a well-developed infrastructure, 35 national parks, and Angel Falls, the world's highest waterfall.
Participants: Most participants are ages 20-24, from Europe and North America.
Other: Accommodations are somewhat basic. Participants will stay in beds, tents, and specially designed "sleeping hammocks."
