Program (included in tuition):
- 4 hrs/day Spanish classes (20 hrs/wk)

Host School:
This program is ideal for people who want to add an element of cultural flair to their immersion program by taking part in learning the traditional Flamenco dance of Spain. The students in addition to having standard Spanish classes, will also spend 8 hours/week studying at one of Spain's top Flamenco schools. In the beginning of the course, about 15% of the time is spent the studying origins and history of Flamenco.

The famed capital of Spain is a cosmopolitan city of unequaled culture and nightlife. With everything from world famous museums to high fashion shopping, one never runs out of things to do in Madrid. Conveniently located at a maximum of 5 hours by train or bus to any other city in Spain, its central location makes it an ideal home base for language travelers.
From its dazzling beaches to its ancient castles, Spain is a country as diverse as the cultures which have influenced its art, architecture, music and lifestyle. It is a land where cathedrals and castles are interspersed with skyscrapers, where modern rock mixes with flamenco guitar, and night clubs compete with cozy "tapas" bars. Spain offers some of the world's most famous museums, resorts, and festivals, making it a unique and enchanting destination.
Participants: Wide age range, various ability levels.
Other: You may also take this program in Marbella or Sevilla. Participants with zero or very little Spanish skills have commented that the theory part of the course is difficult and a bit frustrating. Students may need to purchase the following items: Flamenco shoes, Flamenco skirt and leotard. The cost is approximately $150.
