This is an ideal program for people who want to sample much of what Guatemala has to offer, including language, culture, and tourism. During this 3-week program, students will study Spanish, take part in cultural activities, participate in a volunteer project, live with a local family, and explore Antigua and surrounding areas.

In a country that treasures its colonial past, Antigua is a prized possession. One of the most beautiful colonial cities in all of Latin America, Antigua is known for its charm and relaxed atmosphere that attracts students and travelers from all parts of the world. Antigua is a popular destination for language study.
Guatemala is recognized as the cultural center of the pre-discovered New World. As the origin of the mysterious Mayan Civilization and still predominantly indigenous, the country offers some of the continent's richest folklore. The cultural blend of the indigenous, Spanish and African peoples can be seen in many aspects of daily life. Ancient rituals are intertwined with Christianity. Moreover, there is an abundance of high quality, low-priced handmade goods.
Participants: This program is for those who want to discover Latin American but can't decide between classes, volunteering, or just traveling. Anyone interested can participate regardless of Spanish level, educational history, or professional background. The only requirement is that participants must be at least 18 years old.

Program Notes
- Airport pickup: $30
- Airport Pickup Comments: Please arrive before 9.30 pm. If you arrive after 9.30pm, airport pickup is subject to availability and when possible, a late pickup fee of $15 will be applied.
If NOT opting for the pick-up service, please arrive to lodging only during the following times: between 10am and noon or between 6pm and 8pm.
- Extra homestay nights: $30/night or $120/week
