AmeriSpan's Program for Spanish Teachers in Salamanca, Spain is designed for non-native Spanish teachers who wish to expand upon and update their knowledge of second language methodologies and theories.
Through daily workshops and lectures, the program provides professional support, giving and exchanging information on the development and new uses of Spanish. The course also touches on the most controversial formal aspects of Spanish grammar. The current cultural, political, social, and economic situations in Spain and Mexico are key elements of the program.

Known as “La Dorada,” or Golden City, for the glow of its sandstone buildings. It is one of the 5 Spanish cities declared by UNESCO as a “Mankind Heritage” site. The world's second oldest university is here, boasting a student population of 30,000 (5,000 of whom are foreigners) that provides a lively atmosphere and nightlife. Enjoy concerts, lectures, and theater, or congregate in the famous Plaza Mayor.
From its dazzling beaches to its ancient castles, Spain is a country as diverse as the cultures which have influenced its art, architecture, music and lifestyle. It is a land where cathedrals and castles are interspersed with skyscrapers, where modern rock mixes with flamenco guitar, and night clubs compete with cozy "tapas" bars. Spain offers some of the world's most famous museums, resorts, and festivals, making it a unique and enchanting destination.
Participants: This program is open to Spanish educators or education students planning to teach Spanish.
Other: Important note: There is a required minimum of 3 participants. If there is only 1 participant he/she will be placed in private classes (3hrs/day) at an additional cost of $975.
The program is available year-round, beginning any Monday, as private classes at the above additional cost.
