AmeriSpan's Maestro Spanish for Educators program is specifically designed for educators, faculty, staff, administrators, and education students of all disciplines who work or plan to work closely with Spanish-speaking students and parents. This program will allow them to increase their Spanish skills to better facilitate communication with their students and parent. At the same time, participants will gain invaluable first hand experience and insight into Mexican culture and customs.
La Manzanilla makes an excellent location for an educator to immerse themselves in Mexican culture and the Spanish language. It is a tight-knit and caring community, providing the ideal setting for participants to get relax after a long year and enjoy La Manzanilla's charming setting.
Depending on a participant's Spanish level, he/she will learn a variety of vocabulary and techniques needed to communicate with Spanish-speaking students and parents. Visits to cultural points of interest and cultural activities are included in the program during the week. Two weekend excursions are also included in the program price.

Located 3 hours south of Puerto Vallarta, La Manzanilla has just over 1,500 Mexican residents. The town is nestled between sloping mountains covered with dense tropical foliage on one side and a beautiful beach on the other. It was a well kept secret for many years and the town has managed to preserve its authentic appeal while also welcoming visitors from other countries and traditions. The warm climate, beautiful beaches, and friendly people make this location a true tropical paradise.
Diversity is the word that best describes Mexico's people and geography. Over 50 different indigenous groups, each with its own language, comprise 28% of Mexico's 83 million inhabitants. Divided by the Tropic of Cancer into the temperate North and the tropical South, the country boasts snow-capped volcanoes, jungle clad beaches, deserts, archeological ruins, modern cities, upscale resorts, and isolated villages.
Participants: The course is open to all teachers, academic faculty, administration, and those studying to be an educator. No minimum Spanish level is required.
Other: Space is limited to 12 participants.
