Valencia, the third largest city of Spain, is on the Mediterranean coast and boasts nice weather throughout the year. During its 2000-year history, Valencia has been occupied by Rome, the Visigoths, the Moors, and the Spanish Kings. The old city center reflects this history with captivating ruins from all the eras. Although Barcelona and Madrid tend to get most of the attention, Valencia has invested heavily in developing the city. There are museums, fabulous beaches, and lively nightlife. There are not many tourists, so while enjoying all benefits of a big, historic city on the Mediterranean coast, you are sure to be completely immersed in the Spanish way of life!

Valencia is the 3rd largest city in Spain, located on the beautiful Mediterranean coast just East of Madrid. AmeriSpan’s Spanish and Law course offers legal professionals and students the opportunity to customize their Spanish language immersion experience to meet their specific professional needs. Participants will combine general group language classes with mini-group lessons concentrating on specific vocabulary and common expressions used in the Spanish-speaking world of Law. The program can be completed in either 2 or 4 weeks and requires a high intermediate level of Spanish proficiency.

• Minimum Spanish Level: High-Intermediate (if zero, add 14-16 weeks of regular Spanish before course)

Participants: Lawyers, judges, court officials, clerks, and law students, mostly from Europe and North America.

Other: The school is located in front of the main University, 10 minutes by public transport from the beach and 10 minutes from the historic center of Valencia. The building is recently renovated and the 24 classrooms are equipped with air-conditioning and central heat. There is a small cafeteria and spacious common area, a computer lab with free Internet access, a library and video room for students use. Capacity is around 200 students/day.
